Taken by Cory Zillmann

Taken at approx 4am on a January morning in 1994 from a rocky outcrop looking west over Casuarina Beach in the northern outskirts of Darwins northern suburbs. The different colour lights in the picture is just my amateurish positioning of my lense which caused refracting of the streetlights into the photo when in fact the actual horizon is slightly lower than the angle of the cloud shot. The thunderstorm was generated over the warm water just off the coast on the other side of Darwins Harbour & provided a vary unique light show continuing its intense display for approximately 80 minutes before weakening just prior to sunrise.
